3 miles warmup then straight into 5 mile tempo at 6:07 avg. then 8 x 200 in 35 avg w/200 jogs. Felt awful to start but ended up with a solid workout.

Met with John, Natalie, and Tanaya at Horse Lovers Park in Scottsdale. We started at 5 with headlamps and warmed up 6 miles before starting a 2 x 4 mile workout. Rest was a 1 mile jog between sets. We were on a mostly flat dirt trail in the desert which was nice to avoid any traffic. We were targeting 6:10 and we were right there. A little fast on the first set and right on for the second. Cooled down a couple after to make 17 for the day. Effort was harder than marathon pace but a always felt like I could pick it up. Really good workout for me.
