8 miles 7:30 pace. Taking it easy until half marathon Sunday.

I got an email for a mile race in Southern California on March 16. Looks fast and fun. There is prize money. I thought some of you fast guys might be interested.

I was supposed to be in SD for work right before Carlsbad 5K, but the meeting got switched to the 13th-15th. I don't think I'll be a competitive miler this spring, though :-)

Website said prize money per heat. You could sandbag and take the open division. Just saying... By the way I got some A6s from Running Warehouse today. Tried them on and they feel like a comfortable pair of socks. Can't wait to wear them although I'll probably wait until after the race this weekend.

I'd love to race a road mile at sea level but I'll likely be in Nashville for work.

What would be nice is to find a 5k the day before and race two days in a row. A mile isn't bad coming off a 5k, college runners double like that all the time.
