10 Easy miles averaging 6:56.  My legs felt pretty fresh this morning after a day off.  I finished with 6 x 100 strides which felt good.   Allison had a big 18 mile run and we have a lot going on today so I took the monitor outside and did a bunch of loops on this little half mile loop that Allison came up with so we could run outside and check on the kids every few minutes.  My son is still in a crib and my daughter usually doesn't wake up until 6 so I was done well before they were up.  It wasn't ideal but it's better than the treadmill.  We got really lucky this weekend with some great temps.  We've been close to 110 degrees and I think today is supposed to be like 85.  The morning temps for the weekend are perfect.  I have a big run scheduled for tomorrow that I'm pumped for.  Hopefully I'll have some good news to report.  Have a great weekend everyone!

It was really nice out this morning. Wish I could have run.

At first I thought you were Derek Detemple. Do you know him?

Yes I do know him just from races. Haven't seen him lately though.

He and his brother Gavin are cool guys. I haven't seem him for a while either. I should drop him a note. Anyway, welcome to the blog. Nice to see some top notch runners from AZ on here.

Wow Derek you are running awesome times. Good job! Nice job on the high mileage. You double my weekly mileage easily.

Thanks Angie! I'm training for a marathon right now so the mileage is pretty high. I'm a firm believer in the high mileage though. The more you can do the better.
