Total Distance
10.35

10.35 miles w/brisk 4 mile warmup (6:35sh pace) then continued on with a six mile MP run. Splits were 5:45, 5:44, 5:39,5:44, 5:42. Overall slightly fast.I was excited for this run to see how that pace would feel. It was harder than I wanted but it wasn't so hard that I'm discouraged. I guess I would call it comfortably hard. I finished with a .35 slow jog back to the house. My legs felt pretty good and I'm starting to feel that fresh feeling I'm looking for.

Great workout Derek! I think sometimes this close out to a big race that harder than normal feeling is more mental than physical. You are ready!

Glad you are feeling fresh! I'm anxious to see how you perform.

The body knows when it's racing time and somehow fast paces just seem easier. I've had similar experiences. You'll be ready to roll come race day. Still a solid workout, nice job.
