Warmed up 2.6 miles including strides and a few flexibility exercises then I did 2 x 2 mile with a 3 min jog in between.  Splits were 10:25 (5:09,5:16), 10:31 (5:15,5:16).  I was aiming for 10:40 so this was too fast.  The second set hurt pretty good.  Although I'm happy that I could run that fast I'm dissapointed that I wasn't disciplined enough to stick to the planned pace which  would have been more of a comfortably hard tempo.  Cool down was about 1.5 miles. Oh well, I'm glad I'm done early.  We've got another hot day coming today.  Have a great weekend everyone!

I should do the 3am thing like you. 8am was a tad hot this morning.

Nice workout. Sometimes when you're feeling it, it's hard to hold it back to the planned pace.
