AM: 9 miles w/mile repeats on the road. Great workout today. Warmed up 2.8 miles w/drills and strides then did 4 x 1 mile w/3 min jogs in between. Splits were 5:04, 5:09, 5:10, 5:08 and recovery jogs were run about 9 min pace. Cooled down about 1.25 miles after. I was a little scared I wouldn't be able to hit 5:10 pace because I did 5 x 1 mile just under 5:20 pace about a month ago and it was pretty hard. I guess this is a good sign of progress. What do people think of the Ogden Marathon. I'm thinking of entering the lottery. I went to school at Weber State so I know the area but I live in AZ now.

PM: 4 miles easy on the way home.  Freestone Park.

Nice workout.

People around here seem to really like Ogden - hence the popularity and need for the lottery system now! Then again, I have no direct experience w/ the race.

Hey we saw a billboard over the weekend that said Allegiant is now flying from Mesa to Ogden. Its like $40 each way!

Wow! We might br able to afford that haha. I've been looking at Long Beach half this morning. You guys liked that one right? How was course/weather. Looks good.

I was actually going to recommend Long Beach to you. Its a great course (ie. mostly flat) - good competition, and perfect weather. We were able to get a hotel close to the start and just jogged over to the starting line in the morning. Logistically it was perfect.

Ogden is a must do before you die! I love the half. It is really pretty and a awesome course. Do it! Do it! Do it! Enter the lottery if you get in then you gotta do it. Tell Allison to come run the half.

Jake:That was fast. We are all in for Long Beach. Pumped!

Angie: I probably will and Allison would do the half. Ogden seems a lot better than I remember it. Downtown actually looks pretty good.

Good choice! You'll enjoy that one... I would go back if it wasn't 3 weeks after TOU. I need it to be a couple weeks later!
