AM: 12 miles: Another tough workout. Warmed up about 3 miles including drills and strides then did 10 x 1k in 3:25, 3:26, 3:25, 3:29, 3:27, 3:26, 3:27, 3:28, 3:27, 3:24. The goal was 3:30 so I was a little fast. I did 200m jogs in between each one in 1:05-1:10. This was a long and mentally tough workout. It felt really hot this morning as well (probably because it was). I'll take it though. Good solid workout for the half marathon. On a side night I signed up for CIM last night so I'll be giving the marathon another shot.

PM: 4 miles easy on the way home from work.  Hottest run of the summer.  Great day for the US at the Olympics!

Solid - very consistent!

FYI - I see that the Phoenix 10K has added a half-marathon in November. I think we'll come down that weekend... for one of those 2 races.

Jake: Yeah, the timing off the half would be perfect. The 10k is deep for men. You would have guys to run with. Andrea/Allison would probably be right near the front of the women's race. I'm not sure of the half course but would imagine it would be pretty flat. The 10k is pretty much flat.
